Like the ironic title implies, Temporarily Out of Service represents the first original release from Portland, Maine producer/songwriter Matt Shardlow since his 2009 release Two Faced. Much like Two Faced, this newest release features impressive performances by some of the best talent to come out of New England in recent years.

Adding their talents to this EP are timeless rock guitarist John Notto from the band Dirty Honey, soulful organist Nigel Hall from the funk outfit Lettuce, and session drummer Charles Haynes who has performed with Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran and Queen Latifah among others. Predominantly recorded with long-time friend, engineer and bassist Jon Lammi at his recording studio in Boston, Shardlow unites these incredible forces in order to conduct a creative experiment by reverse-engineering the traditional song writing process to produce this three song EP.

Nothing Ventured’s newest effort, Temporarily Out of Service, is out on all major streaming platforms on December 4th, 2023. Since giving and community are core values of the Nothing Ventured project, all proceeds from sales of the limited edition EP Temporarily Out of Service (available for purchase at www.nv207.com) will be donated to the Center For Grieving Children. Nothing Ventured is proud to support local music legend Mark Curdo and the 15th Annual Markathon fundraiser which he continues to host on Portland's rock radio station WCYY.
